About Us
Our Story
Empowering Lives Ltd was established in 2009 by two sisters with a real passion for providing an outstanding support service. Having a collective wealth of knowledge and experience in social care, education and health, ensured that they could provide for the individual needs of each individual. Bev Burbridge and Emma Wheatley ran the company with an experienced team and Empowering Lives became the most reputable support service in North Devon. Emma and Bev retired from Empowering Lives Ltd in April 2025.
Their manager, Rebecca Briggs, who had worked alongside them since 2013, took over the company contracts and relaunched the company as Empowering Lives Devon Ltd.
Throughout Rebecca’s years of working for Empowering Lives Ltd, she learnt a wealth of knowledge and the skills to be able to continue the business and carry-on pursuing Emma and Bev’s dream of providing high quality care and support.
